Ever find your game of Minesweeper too short? Want a full-screen experience with a vibrant rainbow aesthetic? Then Rainbow Minesweeper is the game for you.

Prepare yourself for a colorful challenge! Rainbow Minesweeper takes the classic puzzle game and expands it into a vibrant, full-screen experience. Don't let the cheerful colors fool you, though—even the "easy" difficulty is surprisingly tricky with large boards.

Features

  • Expansive Boards: Enjoy a larger, more immersive game board.
  • Vibrant Visuals: A colorful rainbow theme that adds a fresh look to the classic gameplay.
  • Adjustable Difficulty: Choose between Easy, Medium, and Hard. The difficulty determines the density of the mines hidden on the board.
  • Classic Mechanics with Modern Twists: Includes cascading pops for satisfying clears and a quick-clear mechanic for faster play.

Controls

  • Left Click: Reveal a square or use Quick-Clear on numbers.
  • Right Click or Hold Left Click: Place or remove a flag.
  • Escape Key (Esc): Open the in-game menu.

How to Play

The goal of Minesweeper is to uncover all the empty squares on the board without detonating any hidden mines.

The Basics

  1. Click to Reveal: Click any square to begin. The first click is always safe.
  2. Numbers are Clues: The numbers revealed indicate how many mines are touching that specific square (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally).
  3. Cascading Clears: If you click a square with no adjacent mines (a "0"), the board will automatically clear all surrounding safe squares, creating a satisfying cascade.
  4. Flag the Mines: When you are certain a square contains a mine, Right-Click (or hold) to place a Flag. This prevents you from accidentally clicking it.

Advanced Tactics: The Quick-Clear

Once you have correctly flagged all the mines surrounding a numbered square, you can speed up your game:

  • Click the Number: Click directly on the revealed number.
  • The Result: The game will automatically reveal all remaining un-flagged squares touching that number.
  • Warning: Be careful! If you placed a flag incorrectly, clicking the number will detonate a mine and end the game. Only use this when you are absolutely sure of your flag placements!
